• Guide prospective students through consultative dialogue and the admissions decision-making process • Present UMGC’s value proposition and meet or exceed enrollment growth targets • Document, maintain, and track student interactions and progression in the CRM system • Drive new student recruitment and first-term success through problem solving and advocacy • Meet speed-to-response goals and provide high-quality customer service • Maintain departmental Service Level Agreements • Guide prospective students from inquiry through first-term enrollment using knowledge of UMGC products, policies, procedures, and systems • Engage prospective students via phone, video conferencing, text, and email • Provide accurate information about admissions, program requirements, student success initiatives, policies, procedures, and deadlines • Contribute to individual, team, and unit enrollment goals • Develop referral leads from prospective students, alumni, and personal networks • Help prospective students overcome enrollment barriers • Assist with registration, degree planning, transfer credit, transcripts, document tracking, and records • Liaise between students and university departments • Participate in recruitment activities, virtual open houses, information sessions, webinars, classroom presentations, and new student success initiatives • Provide information about payment options and active-duty and veteran educational benefits • Represent UMGC virtually and at recruitment events, transfer fairs, webinars, and community college campuses throughout the state • Conduct virtual and onsite classroom presentations about scholarships, online classes, program articulations, and transfer processes • Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel in-state as needed • Perform other duties as assigned • Employees living within 50 miles of UMGC must work university commencement
• An earned Associate's Degree • At least 1 year serving in an Admissions, Advising, Coaching or Consultative Sales role • Experience working in a goal-driven, measured performance and team environment • Excellent customer service and time management skills • High learning agility and creative problem solving • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for one-on-one interactions and group presentations with diverse populations of students • Upbeat and outgoing personality with a desire to encourage students to succeed • Ability to address and overcome student concerns • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Home worksite furniture and equipment provided by the candidate • Broadband internet with upload and download speeds of at least 25MBPS • Hardwired Ethernet connection for computing equipment • Use of UMGC VPN for non-public systems and data • For Admission Advisor-Partnership duties: good driving record, reliable transportation, and auto insurance • Evening, weekend, holiday hours, and extensive in-state travel may be required based on business need
