• Manage and coach assigned students from first class start through program completion • Prepare students for academic success by interpreting academic requirements, selecting courses, and co-creating academic plans • Provide high-volume student engagement by phone, video conferencing, text, and email • Document and track student interactions and progression in the CRM system • Assist with registration, degree planning, payment options, and university administrative processes • Connect students with internal and external resources • Respond to questions about transfer credit, transcripts, document tracking, and records • Develop relationships with applicants and educate them on UMGC programs, services, and admissions requirements • Guide new students through registration, onboarding, online orientation, and Welcome Calls • Advise students on programs, online learning, administrative processes, time management, academic challenges, and study skills • Monitor attendance and intervene early with at-risk students • Assist students through the satisfactory academic progress process • Participate in recruitment, retention initiatives, open houses, information sessions, webinars, and other events • Partner with Tuition Planning on payment options and guide students through online payment processing • Resolve current balances to prevent program interruption • Maintain knowledge of federal and institutional policies regarding Title IV, tuition assistance, VA benefits, payment plans, and billing • Maintain service-level agreements and contribute to student growth targets
• An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning • One (1) year of relevant work experience providing outstanding customer service with heavy inbound/outbound phone volume • Excellent customer service and time management skills • High learning agility • Creative problem-solving skills • Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Presentation skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Equipment and broadband internet meeting specified requirements for the 100% remote role • Ability to work some evening and weekend hours • Ability to work certain holiday hours based on business needs
