📋 Description

• Perform benefit investigations, including running test claims, submitting prior authorizations, documenting results in the patient electronic medical record, and conducting patient outreach and follow-up calls • Complete benefit investigations requested by the Advanced Therapeutics PharmD and APP team • Submit prior authorizations to insurers online and by telephone; appeal decisions and conduct follow-up inquiries • Explain manufacturer patient savings opportunities to providers and patients • Contact patients regarding insurance decisions, rejections, and prescription filling information • Maintain perpetual inventory of appropriate medications from internal pharmacies and communicate with the clinic team daily • Coordinate prescription delivery with patients and the Home Delivery pharmacy and queue prescriptions for the home delivery team • Maintain a clean work area and assist with quality indicator monitoring • Identify problems and improvement opportunities; assist the manager with problem-solving projects and operational improvements • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and teams • Work under the direct supervision of the operations manager

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy • National certification such as PTCB or ExCPT; if not nationally certified, certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire • Minimum of 1 year of related experience as a Pharmacy Technician • Proficiency in math • Knowledge of and ability to use a computer • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately, efficiently, and dependably • Ability to work in a hybrid or remote environment • Positive work ethic and professional demeanor to promote teamwork
