📋 Description

• Perform benefit investigations, including running test claims, submitting prior authorizations, documenting patient charts, and conducting patient outreach and follow-up calls • Complete benefit investigations requested by the Advanced Therapeutics PharmD and APP team and document results in the electronic medical record • Submit prior authorizations online and by telephone; appeal decisions and follow up with insurers • Communicate manufacturer patient savings opportunities to providers and patients • Contact patients regarding insurance decisions, rejections, and prescription-filling information • Maintain perpetual inventory of appropriate medications from internal pharmacies and communicate updates to the clinic team daily • Coordinate prescription delivery with patients and Home Delivery pharmacy and queue prescriptions for the home delivery team • Maintain a clean work area and assist with quality-indicator monitoring • Identify problems and improvement areas, assist with problem-solving projects, improve operations, and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities and teams • Work under the direct supervision of the operations manager

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Current license with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy • National certification through PTCB or ExCPT; if not nationally certified, certification required within 6 months of hire • Minimum of 1 year of related experience as a Pharmacy Technician • Proficiency in math • Knowledge of and ability to use a computer • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately, efficiently, and dependably • Ability to work in a hybrid or remote environment • Positive work ethic and professional demeanor • Ability to work Monday through Friday, per diem as needed, between 8am–5pm
