📋 Description

• Facilitate asynchronous online learning in YourPace competency-based Business programs • Proactively engage self-paced adult learners • Provide substantive feedback • Evaluate student competencies within established SLA timelines, typically 24–48 hours • Maintain active communication with students • Participate in course maintenance or curriculum updates as assigned • Teach course-by-course in eight-week sessions based on student enrollment and program needs • Identify up to two primary teaching tracks from the undergraduate and graduate discipline clusters

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate tracks: Master’s degree in Business or a related field from an accredited institution • Undergraduate tracks: Minimum of 3 years of direct professional industry experience • Graduate tracks: Doctorate in Business or a related field • Computer/laptop with modern processing capabilities • High-speed internet • Webcam and microphone • Applicants must identify up to two primary teaching tracks in the cover letter • Cover letter must include a 1–2 paragraph statement addressing connection to Maine, rural higher education, or UMPI’s mission and current teaching load and active commitments at other institutions • Cover letter must specify up to two Track Codes • Curriculum Vitae or résumé required • Graduate transcripts for the highest earned degree required • Prior higher education teaching experience preferred • Online/asynchronous teaching experience preferred • Experience with Competency-Based Education assessment models preferred • Capacity for active student engagement preferred • Must not require visa sponsorship support • Background screening required for candidates proceeding in the selection process • References may be requested from candidates proceeding to final stages
