• Serve as Instructors of Record and/or develop courses for undergraduate and graduate programs. • Instruction may be delivered online, on campus, or in other approved instructional modalities. • Scheduling is flexible and aligned with instructional and program needs. • Courses may be delivered in synchronous or asynchronous formats, as appropriate for the instructional model. • Meaningful interaction with students is expected.
• For undergraduate degree programs: At minimum, a master's degree from an accredited institution and/or significant work experience in a related field. • For graduate degree programs: A doctorate, terminal degree, or other advanced degree in the field of study and/or significant work experience in a related field. • Experience teaching at the college-level preferred. • Online teaching experience preferred. • Teaching in a competency-based education model preferred. • Adjunct Faculty teaching online courses are required to have the appropriate technology to effectively teach in an online environment.
• Compensation for instruction and course development assignments is determined in accordance with the University of Maine System Part-Time Academics Collective Bargaining Agreement (PATFA). • Rates vary based on assignment, academic rank, qualifications, experience, and University service.
