📋 Description

• Serve as counsel for an assigned departmental or functional area or defined area of law • Provide legal advice and counsel to management and associates on corporate and business issues • Engage with business leaders to understand direction, changes and objectives and advise on legal issues • Enforce Legal policies and procedures • Present training to internal clients on specified legal topics • Collaborate with Finance & Accounting, Sales & Sales Excellence, Corporate Operations, Engineering / Product Development, Marketing & Communications and other teams to ensure legal compliance and protect company interests • Support governance functions, public filings, entity management and maintenance • Monitor legislative and agency pronouncements, publications and activities • Research, track and update privacy and data regulation notices, policies, standards, guidelines and processes • Address privacy issues and advise teams on compliance with privacy regulations • Develop public policy-related position papers, presentations and documentation • Review new product development for IP-policy compliance and develop IP • Participate in patent searches and evaluations • Support evaluation of potential third-party infringement of Unisys IP • Support senior lawyers in IP disputes and litigation • Participate in trademark searches for new marks and rebranding • Advise HR teams and management on employment and labor issues • Support organizational policy development and initiatives from an employment-law perspective • Address disputes, internal investigations, subpoenas, litigation administration and eDiscovery • Maintain accurate reporting of litigation, disputes, subpoenas and bankruptcy matters • Draft, negotiate and interpret commercial contracts • Review, advise on and negotiate software licensing, SaaS, professional services and online terms and conditions contracts • Partner with business associates to resolve contract-negotiation issues • Advise on operational legal topics including data strategy and data licensing

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS degree • US Law Degree and 5-7 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience • Public Sector experience required • Technology Industry experience preferred • Eligibility for any required U.S. Government authorizations for access to export-controlled commodities and technology • Ability to meet applicable U.S. export control regulations
