• Serve as the on-call Chaplain for UUA staff, providing virtual one-on-one pastoral care • Create occasional group spiritual-care, nourishment, and grounding events • Create and lead UUA staff chapel services or prayer/reflection gatherings every other month • Assist with General Assembly Chaplain Team training and clarify expectations when requested • Create meditation opportunities, vigils, circles, and supportive community formats in response to traumatic events • Provide in-person support at occasional UUA events • Provide ongoing or one-time support to committees or teams led by UUA staff when requested and as time allows • Perform other duties requested by the supervisor, Executive Vice President, or President
• Master of Divinity or equivalent • Completion of one or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an ACPE-accredited center • Deep understanding of current systems theories in trauma-informed socio-emotional systems, especially related to Unitarian Universalist culture • 3+ years of spiritual/pastoral ministerial experience required • Ability to maintain a grounded presence and high confidentiality under stressful circumstances • Ability to work independently and be highly self-motivated • Flexibility to respond to care requests within 24 hours and provide same-day care in urgent cases when needed • Fluency with Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams • Understanding of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and multiculturalism • Ability to travel to occasional in-person UUA events preferred • Work or lived experience with BIPOC communities valued • Eagerness to work in an organization prioritizing dismantling white supremacy
