📋 Description

• Draft communications materials, including blogs and social media, on health-related topics • Develop content for a webpage highlighting the UN Foundation Polio Press Fellowship • Track the performance of the UN Foundation’s global health content • Assist with creation and dissemination of the Unite for Health newsletter • Support and facilitate communications activities around major global health moments and observance days, including the UN General Assembly • Assist with managing and developing photography, video, and social media assets explaining polio and malaria eradication activities • Download and categorize photographs and videos • Assist with video production and editing for social media • Contribute to content development planning highlighting best practices for polio and malaria eradication and advancing advocacy goals • Work with Global Health, Public Affairs, and health-related campaigns/alliances team members • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a degree-granting program during the internship, or be a graduate of an accredited college or university • Familiarity with the current global health agenda and key UN and/or multilateral organizations • Communications and public relations skills and experience • Experience with email newsletter management, including Mailchimp • Experience with web design and content management, including WordPress • Experience with video editing, including Adobe Premiere Pro • Experience with graphic design, including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva • Experience with media and social media tracking and analytics • Ability to write engaging content for technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy • Must have a personal laptop computer and access to the Internet • Must be available to work 20 hours per week on a fixed schedule • Strong written communication skills and ability to prepare clear, concise, audience-appropriate materials • Ability to follow through on assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate promptly when timelines or priorities change • Ability to follow established processes and maintain clear, accurate, accessible documentation • Interest in the mission of the UN Foundation, UN, and/or multilateral organizations • Ability to approach global issues with curiosity, respect, and cultural awareness • Spanish language proficiency preferred
