📋 Description

• Instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs • Teach assigned science courses, including biology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and nutrition • Instruct students and develop coursework for assigned classes • Improve instructional quality by reviewing and using innovative teaching methodologies and techniques • Assist with reviewing and revising syllabi and instructional guidelines • Evaluate students' progress toward curriculum and course objectives and communicate progress timely • Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives • Maintain student attendance and grade records and assist with program data collection • Use the Learning Management System to deliver relevant and current course content • Provide ongoing student communication through office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods • Participate in professional development and faculty meetings • Stay current with college updates and maintain continuing education hours where applicable • Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Dean-Online Programs or Program Director-Online Nursing

🎯 Requirements

• Master's Degree required; Doctoral Degree preferred • Experience demonstrating ability to mentor students • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Previous online teaching experience required utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS) • Documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments, including education theory and practice, current concepts relative to specific subjects taught, or current clinical practice experience • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to teach courses such as Introduction to Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Pathophysiology, Medical Terminology, Microbiology, Microbiology Lab, and Nutrition • Commitment to teaching and working with a multicultural and multigenerational student body • Ability to maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure, if applicable
