📋 Description

• Instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs • Teach courses such as Humanities, Social Sciences, English, Communication/Public Speaking, Math, Statistics, Chemistry, Basic Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, and Critical Reasoning • Instruct students and develop coursework for assigned classes • Improve instructional quality through innovative teaching methodologies and techniques • Assist with reviewing and revising syllabi and instructional guidelines • Evaluate students' progress toward curriculum and course objectives and communicate progress in a timely manner • Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives • Maintain student attendance and grade records and assist with program data collection • Use the Learning Management System to deliver relevant and current course content • Provide ongoing student communication through office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods • Participate in professional development and quarterly online faculty meetings • Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Dean of Online Programs or Program Director of Online Nursing

🎯 Requirements

• Master's Degree required; Doctoral Degree preferred • Ability to mentor students • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Previous online teaching experience required utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS) • Documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments, including education theory and practice, current concepts relative to specific subjects taught, or current clinical practice experience • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Commitment to teaching and working with a multicultural and multigenerational student body • Maintain CE hours to ensure renewed licensure, if applicable
