• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance • Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction • Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations • Teaching involves preparing for and holding classes in the modality assigned, maintaining currency in the content area related to the teaching assignment, evaluating students’ work, assessing student outcomes, providing regular and substantive feedback on student work, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. • Other duties may be assigned by the chair or dean.
• Doctorate in relevant field of course(s) or Master’s Degree in relevant field + 5 years of relevant professional experience • Professional experience in areas of expertise (Instructional Design, Mathematics Specialist, Reading Teacher, Reading Specialist, etc.) • Demonstrated experience teaching or facilitating online courses for adult learners • Proficiency in online learning management systems (Canvas, etc.) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Strong written and interpersonal skills • Fluency in oral and written English communication.
