📋 Description

• Instruct undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accordance with University of Phoenix learning objectives and course outlines • Deliver course content, learning activities, and student assessments using current course materials • Share supplemental knowledge and experience connecting course concepts to real-world applications • Make class materials available to students in a timely manner • Maintain an engaged classroom presence and respond to student inquiries promptly • Create a supportive learning environment that promotes cognitive skills, confidence, and academic success • Address student academic issues according to University policies and guidance • Provide coaching, tutoring, and additional resources • Oversee student clinical, practicum, and mentorship experiences when required • Attend faculty meetings, University events, and student graduations • Maintain current knowledge of course updates, instruction standards, and relevant University information • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through employment, licensure, conferences, publications, networks, and professional organizations • Teach and perform related duties in an online environment • Use and adapt to University technology to facilitate classes and maintain active faculty status • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in Community Health and/or Public Health • Doctor of Nursing Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or a PhD in Nursing; or doctorate degree in any area and a Master’s degree in Nursing; or Master’s degree in Nursing • Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution • Active unencumbered or unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California • 5 years’ experience in a clinical nursing practice setting in community health and/or public health • Minimum of 2 years of current applicable experience within the last 5 years • Annual scholarship record meeting UOPX’s definition of scholarship engagement • Familiarity with adult education teaching and learning theory • High level of problem solving and decision-making ability • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills • Technology proficiency, including Microsoft suite programs • Ability to convey a professional image and represent the University appropriately • Acceptable professional positions can include Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and/or Nurse Educator with a focus in Public Health and/or community health
