📋 Description

• Instruct undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accordance with University of Phoenix learning objectives and course outlines • Deliver course content, learning activities, and student assessments using current course materials • Provide supplemental knowledge and real-world application connections • Make class materials available to students promptly • Maintain an engaged classroom presence and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner • Create a supportive learning environment and address student academic issues • Coach, tutor, and identify additional learning resources • Oversee student clinical, practicum, and mentorship experiences when required • Attend faculty meetings, University events, and student graduations • Maintain current knowledge of course updates, instruction standards, and relevant information • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge through practice, licensure, conferences, publications, networks, and professional organizations • Teach and perform required duties in an online environment • Use and adapt to University technology to facilitate classes and maintain active faculty status • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with Adult and Geriatric populations • Doctor of Nursing Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or PhD in Nursing; or doctorate degree in any area and a Master’s degree in Nursing; or Master’s degree in Nursing • Degree from a regionally accredited institution • Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical nursing practice setting, including at least 2 years managing Adult and Geriatric populations • Active, unencumbered or unrestricted Registered Arizona Nurse or Multistate (RN) license • Active Arizona Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification • Active national certification as a Nurse Practitioner • Two years of current Nurse Practitioner experience within the last 5 years • Annual scholarship record meeting UOPX’s scholarship engagement definition • Familiarity with adult education teaching and learning theory • High-level problem-solving and decision-making ability • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills • Technology proficiency, including Microsoft suite programs • Ability to convey a professional image and represent the University appropriately
