📋 Description
• Instruct undergraduate and/or graduate courses in relevant disciplines according to University learning objectives and course outlines • Deliver course content, learning activities, and student assessments using current University course materials • Share supplemental knowledge and experience connecting course concepts to real-world applications • Make class materials available promptly • Maintain an engaged online classroom presence and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner • Create a supportive learning environment that promotes student growth, cognitive skills, confidence, and academic success • Address student academic issues according to University policies • Provide coaching, tutoring, and additional resources as required • Oversee student clinical, practicum, or mentorship experiences when applicable • Attend faculty meetings, University events, and student graduations as required • Maintain current knowledge of course updates, instructional standards, and relevant University information • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge through practice, certification/licensure, conferences, publications, networks, and professional organizations • Perform online instruction and related duties while maintaining active faculty status and adapting to technology changes • Perform other duties as assigned
🎯 Requirements
• Must have experience with Psychiatric Management of Children and Adolescents • Doctor of Nursing Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, PhD in Nursing, Medical Physician/Psychiatrist, and/or Board Certified Pediatric Mental Health Pediatrician; or doctorate degree in any area and a Master’s degree in Nursing; or Master’s degree in Nursing • Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution • Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical nursing practice setting as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, including at least 2 years of current experience • Must have 2 years of current experience within the last 5 years • Active, unencumbered or unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona or multistate • Active, unencumbered or unrestricted Arizona Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license • Active national certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist • Medical Physicians require a current unencumbered or unrestricted license to practice • Acceptable professional positions include Nurse Practitioner and/or Board Certified Pediatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with pediatric or adolescent psychiatric/mental health experience • Annual scholarship record meeting UOPX’s definition of scholarship engagement • Familiarity with adult education teaching and learning theory • High problem-solving and decision-making ability • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills • Technology proficiency, including Microsoft Suite programs • Ability to convey a professional image and represent the University appropriately
