Unrivaled Basketball is an online direct-to-consumer basketball apparel and merchandise brand. The Shopify-powered storefront sells club and league jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts, hats, and accessories (including Under Armour jerseys and collaborative drops), runs seasonal sales and exclusive tour-stop merch, and targets basketball fans, clubs, and leagues.

📋 Description

• Design and execute visual effects, motion graphics, and animated elements for short-form and long-form social content, including game highlights, hype content, partner and campaign assets, and sponsor integrations • Build and maintain reusable After Effects templates, title cards, lower thirds, and effect packages • Partner with social, brand, and partnerships teams to ensure assets follow brand guidelines and partner/sponsor requirements • Elevate raw footage through color correction, compositing, and effects work across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms • Collaborate with Content Producers and the Social team on effects-driven content from pre-production through post-production • Manage multiple projects and quick-turn requests in a fast-paced, real-time sports content environment • Organize created assets, project files, and version control within asset and archive systems

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of video editing experience • Portfolio demonstrating strong VFX/motion graphics work beyond storytelling and narrative editing • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects (required) • Proficiency across multiple video editing software is highly valued, including Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro • Experience building reusable motion graphic templates and effects systems that scale across a content calendar • Ability to translate brand guidelines into visually engaging work • Strong communication skills and ability to respond consistently in a timely manner in a remote role • Knowledge of different file types and ability to convert file types as needed • Experience in sports, live events, or fast-moving social-first content environments (bonus)
