📋 Description

• Review clinical research protocols for financial and operational impact • Work with UofL Health departments to determine feasibility and identify applicable costs • Provide pricing to researchers for required items and services • Review and approve coverage analyses for billable items and services • Review final clinical research budgets for accurate coverage analysis, pricing, and cost coverage • Prepare and revise coverage analysis documents to maintain compliant billing plans • Review contracts, budgets, and consent forms for congruency • Facilitate billing compliance with the Cerner Clinical Informatics team and UL Cancer Trials Program • Review Cerner PowerPlan builds at study startup and throughout clinical trials • Track and invoice non-patient accounts receivable research services • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable • Cross-train to provide daily coverage of the research billing email account • Review anatomical pathology requests, generate daily system reports, and hold patient-accounting encounters to prevent improper claims processing • Prepare, submit, and maintain local CMS and CGS approvals for investigational device trials • Complete Cerner POM and Epic Research Record setup as needed • Maintain compliance with company policies and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business (required) • Equivalent work experience acceptable • 3–5 years in healthcare finance or revenue cycle operations (required) • 3 or more years in clinical research (preferred) • Medical terminology and coding education (preferred) • MBA, CCRP, CHRC, CPC (preferred) • Ability to review clinical research protocols, contracts, budgets, consent forms, and coverage analyses • Knowledge of Cerner Clinical Informatics, Cerner POM, and Epic Research Record setup • Licensure: NA (required) • Certification: NA (required) • Ability to work 80 productive hours per pay period • Must maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct

• Exempt position works 80 productive hours each pay period and is paid biweekly • Daily hours are flexible as long as no less than 80 productive hours are worked • Remote work from home • Additional hours may be available for deadlines or special projects
