📋 Description

• Conduct well-being and follow-up contact with children and sponsors • Provide support to children and sponsors • Assess and refer families for additional services based on their needs • Manage an assigned, fluctuating caseload of post-release services • Comply with US and ORR policies, procedures, and mandated timeframes • Collaborate with care providers to verify and assess information relevant to successful sponsorship • Evaluate sponsors’ ability to provide appropriate care and a safe living environment • Identify, verify, and recommend additional support, resources, or information • Maintain telephone contact and conduct virtual and occasional in-person home visits • Collaborate with PRS Caseworker and PRS Case Manager levels to assess case progression • Provide ongoing caseworker services through assessment, planning, evaluation, facilitation, and psychoeducation • Maintain documentation, safeguard confidential records, and protect personally identifiable information • Identify and report concerns, life-changing events, and significant incidents to the program and ORR • Act as a mandated reporter and report abuse, neglect, and exploitation to required entities • Participate in training, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives • Attend training, departmental, and program meetings • Travel to surrounding locations in the United States for in-person visits • May work evenings and weekends to meet timelines and reporting standards • Perform related duties as assigned and revise practices as needed to meet program needs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimal one year experience working with children and youth, case management, or child welfare services • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling, or other social service field, preferred • Proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases • Must be proficient in Spanish and able to communicate effectively with children, sponsors, and staff • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel • Valid state driver’s license and eligibility to drive to facilitate program services as required by contractual agreement • Must be able to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification • Must be able to obtain First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) • Employment is conditional pending satisfactory results of all required tests and background checks
