📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain and support enterprise BI and data solutions • Analyze business requirements and develop or update dashboards, reports, data extracts, ETL/ELT processes, data marts, governed datasets and other BI solutions • Support data integration, reporting, analytics and downstream data consumption • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, source-to-target mappings and solution designs • Perform complex data analysis, metric definition, source validation, documentation and data quality validation • Conduct unit testing and assist with output validation, reconciliation and business acceptance criteria • Troubleshoot and support reports, data extracts, ETL/ELT processes, scheduled jobs and production data solutions • Perform root cause analysis and document resolution and preventive actions • Create and maintain business rules, data lineage, technical specifications, runbooks and support procedures • Support testing, UAT, change management and release planning • Support data governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, access control and reporting governance • Optimize solutions for efficiency, reliability, automation, performance and supportability • For Lead level: lead complex solutions and large-scale projects, provide technical direction, mentor junior team members and act as a subject matter expert

🎯 Requirements

• Senior level: 5+ years of related IT, BI, data engineering, data integration, reporting or analytics delivery experience • Lead level: 7+ years of related experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Analytics or related field, or equivalent experience • Experience developing and supporting enterprise data solutions in a production environment • Lead level: experience leading at least four large-scale projects, initiatives or enhancements • Lead level: experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, peer review or work direction to developers or analysts • Advanced SQL query writing in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or other leading RDBMS • Advanced report and dashboard development using Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos or similar tools • ETL/ELT development using Microsoft Integration Services, Informatica or similar data integration tools • Experience supporting data extracts, integrations, data marts, governed datasets and downstream reporting or analytics • OLAP cubes, semantic layers and data models using Microsoft Analysis Services or similar tools • Dimensional data modeling and data warehousing methodologies • Data quality metrics, validation results, exceptions and reconciliation processes • Production support practices including scheduling, orchestration, monitoring, incident triage, root cause analysis and operational readiness • Technical specifications and documentation including source-to-target mappings, business rules, lineage, runbooks and support procedures • Data governance, metadata, stewardship, reporting governance, access controls and secure handling of sensitive data • Complex problem solving, critical thinking, deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning • Ability to analyze systems, data flows and processes to determine change impacts and perform root cause analysis • Lead level: ability to lead technical design discussions, influence solution direction, resolve ambiguity and align technical delivery with business outcomes • Equivalent military experience accepted • Occasional travel one to two times per year
