📋 Description

• Research complex coding issues and recommend resolutions • Identify training needs and develop processes • Design and update coding lessons, projects, and assessments for different learning objectives and audiences, including USACS and vendor coders • Deliver engaging instruction through OnBase, Pulse, Workday, and Articulate in in-person or virtual classrooms • Monitor learner progress, provide feedback, and offer individual or group support • Measure learner performance through formative and summative assessments; analyze and report data • Participate in external training programs and present materials to attract candidates to the internal coding team • Create and maintain coding resources, including SOPs and site pages • Research coding topics and issues, create problem statements, provide recommendations, and develop and present education or continuous-improvement updates • Collaborate with RCM internal teams to ensure coding processes, guidelines, and policies are accurately applied • Provide educational consultations to internal Coding Department staff • Assist with and participate in QA webinars, quarterly coding meetings, and vendor calibration calls • Analyze and trend audit results, identify root causes, launch targeted education, and monitor improvement • Create and launch coder edits to mitigate risk areas and monitor results • Perform other department duties as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • RHIT, RN, CPC, or CCS-P accreditation • Emergency Department pro-fee coding experience • Knowledge of and experience using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding • Knowledge of payor and coding guidelines • Knowledge and skill in using personal computers in a Windows environment, especially Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Zoom • Ability to pay close attention to detail, multitask, and work independently • Ability to identify, research, and solve problems and discrepancies • Ability to communicate professionally with employees, management, physicians, and vendors • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds • Close visual acuity required • Must submit an application and resume
