⢠Research complex coding issues and recommend resolutions ⢠Identify training needs and develop processes ⢠Design and update coding lessons, projects, and assessments for different learning objectives and audiences, including USACS and vendor coders ⢠Deliver engaging instruction through OnBase, Pulse, Workday, and Articulate in in-person or virtual classrooms ⢠Monitor learner progress, provide feedback, and offer individual or group support ⢠Measure learner performance through formative and summative assessments; analyze and report data ⢠Participate in external training programs and present materials to attract candidates to the internal coding team ⢠Create and maintain coding resources, including SOPs and site pages ⢠Research coding topics and issues, create problem statements, provide recommendations, and develop and present education or continuous-improvement updates ⢠Collaborate with RCM internal teams to ensure coding processes, guidelines, and policies are accurately applied ⢠Provide educational consultations to internal Coding Department staff ⢠Assist with and participate in QA webinars, quarterly coding meetings, and vendor calibration calls ⢠Analyze and trend audit results, identify root causes, launch targeted education, and monitor improvement ⢠Create and launch coder edits to mitigate risk areas and monitor results ⢠Perform other department duties as needed
⢠High school diploma or equivalent ⢠RHIT, RN, CPC, or CCS-P accreditation ⢠Emergency Department pro-fee coding experience ⢠Knowledge of and experience using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding ⢠Knowledge of payor and coding guidelines ⢠Knowledge and skill in using personal computers in a Windows environment, especially Excel, Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Zoom ⢠Ability to pay close attention to detail, multitask, and work independently ⢠Ability to identify, research, and solve problems and discrepancies ⢠Ability to communicate professionally with employees, management, physicians, and vendors ⢠Ability to maintain confidentiality ⢠Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities ⢠Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds ⢠Close visual acuity required ⢠Must submit an application and resume
