📋 Description

• Lead and execute on-site system installations • Direct contractors and ensure projects meet engineering specifications, timelines, safety requirements, and quality standards • Install, configure, calibrate, and validate automated vehicle inspection systems across electrical, mechanical, networking, and civil components • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and integration issues in the field • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service activities • Maintain compliance with safety standards and operational protocols • Identify potential hazards and enforce safe working practices • Review site layouts, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD or similar tools • Identify and escalate discrepancies between planned and actual site conditions • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during field activities • Communicate with customers, manage expectations, and deliver a professional customer experience • Maintain accurate installation and service documentation • Escalate complex technical issues to Engineering, R&D, and Operations • Provide field insights supporting continuous improvement • Manage time and expenses in accordance with company guidelines

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Field Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Field Technician supporting hardware/software installation and deployment • Experience leading contractors or teams during technical installations • Strong hands-on experience with civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies • Working knowledge of Linux-based systems and basic networking principles • Experience reading and interpreting site layouts and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Autodesk, or similar tools • Ability to create clear installation, service, and maintenance documentation • Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently lead on-site discussions and provide technical direction • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and adaptability in changing field conditions • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety requirements on-site • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% across the United States and Canada (US FSEs) • Valid driver’s license • Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods on active job sites • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment up to 50 lbs • Ability to bend, reach, climb, and manually handle tools or components • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and dust • Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) • Technical certification or trade school training is ideally desired • Basic familiarity with Linux systems is ideally desired • Experience working in customer-facing environments is ideally desired
