📋 Description

• Provide individual and group interventions for health psychology presentations, psychosocial stressors, grief, phase-of-life difficulties, and mild to severe mental health presentations • Provide cognitive screenings addressing functional and cognitive ability questions • Provide clinical assessments and collaborative care and treatment for mental and behavioral health symptoms • Complete thorough psychosocial assessments and determine diagnoses and treatment-related conclusions • Provide DSM diagnoses to determine psychosocial functioning and patient or family needs • Deliver emergency and crisis interventions, rapid assessments, and crisis management plans • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy when clinically indicated • Follow suicide prevention guidelines and risk assessment documentation and training requirements • Maintain knowledge of veterans’ benefits, services, community resources, and referral processes • Provide case management throughout the continuum of care • Adhere to client regulations for documentation and encounter completion • Consult with professionals across disciplines regarding diagnoses and treatment plans • Work within interdisciplinary treatment teams and intervene in patient mental health crises

🎯 Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice independently in any state as a Psychologist, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW • Psychologists must have PsyPact in addition to state license • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field from an accredited program, or doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program, depending on license type • Minimum 2 years’ experience practicing therapy independently • Experience providing consultation about mental health diagnoses and treatment plans to professionals across disciplines • Familiarity with DSM-5 clinical presentations and brief, evidence-based psychological interventions • Knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment • Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Serious Mental Illness • Experience treating patients in Veterans' Hospital PTSD and MHC settings • Assessment and intervention skills, including specialized experience with Evidence-Based Treatment • Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams • Knowledge of risk assessment and mental health crisis procedures • Experience leading interdisciplinary treatment teams during mental health crises • Experience with one or more Electronic Health Records • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States • Preferred modality training includes ACT, CBT, CBT-I, Interpersonal Therapy, Problem-Solving Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Short-term Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills training, and CBT for Suicide Prevention
