• Provide individual and group interventions for health psychology presentations, psychosocial stressors, grief, phase-of-life difficulties, and mild-to-severe mental health presentations • Provide cognitive screenings addressing functional and cognitive ability questions • Provide immediate clinical assessment, collaborative care, and treatment for mental and behavioral health symptoms • Complete psychosocial assessments to determine patient and family functioning and needs • Apply knowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, treatment procedures, medications, side effects, and medical terminology • Follow suicide prevention guidelines, risk assessment documentation, and training requirements • Complete assessments and document information needed for diagnoses and treatment conclusions • Provide DSM diagnoses • Deliver emergency and crisis interventions, rapid assessments, and crisis management plans • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy when clinically indicated • Maintain knowledge of veterans’ benefits, services, community resources, and referral processes • Provide case management throughout the continuum of care • Comply with client regulations for documentation and encounter completion
• Must be licensed to practice independently in ANY state as a Psychologist, LPC, LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW • Psychologists must have PsyPact in addition to state license • Either a master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field from an accredited program, or a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program • Minimum 2 years’ experience practicing therapy independently • Experience providing consultation on mental health diagnoses and treatment plans to professionals across disciplines, particularly for psychiatrically and medically complex patients • Familiarity with DSM-5 clinical presentations and brief, evidence-based psychological interventions for mild, moderate, and severe presentations • General knowledge of mental health assessment and treatment • Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Serious Mental Illness • Skill/experience treating patients in Veterans' Hospital PTSD and MHC settings with mental health, behavioral health concerns, and comorbidities • Assessment and intervention skills, including specialized experience with Evidence-Based Treatment • Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams • Knowledge of risk assessment and mental health crisis procedures, including leading interdisciplinary treatment teams during patient mental health crises • Experience with one or more Electronic Health Records • Microsoft Office proficiency: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States
