📋 Description

• Lead nationwide compliance inspections for federal site inspection projects • Conduct comprehensive reviews of facility operations • Perform on-site walkthroughs and interviews with staff and detainees • Match field conditions to applicable standards • Synthesize findings into clear, actionable, site-specific reports • Ensure reports meet OIG/OIE standards • Assist in training inspectors on applying standards and field conditions • Coordinate with medical experts and medical subject matter experts • Create complex workpapers • Draft site-specific reports outlining deficiencies and recommendations • Write inspection activity reports and final draft reports for Inspection Manager review

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in inspection and audit work • Experience ideally under GAGAS and Blue Book standards • Medical, legal, kitchen, and facilities auditing experience preferred • Superior writing skills and ability to produce detailed assessments under tight deadlines • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, Finance, or a related field • U.S. Citizen • Ability to read and speak English • Ability to pass a Tier 2/public trust background investigation, including a credit check and detailed background investigation • Ability to travel one week per month, possibly two, and remain 24-hour ready if needed for facility visits • Capacity to walk 15,000+ steps and stand for 8–10 hours • Experience leading a team through inspections or report writing
