📋 Description

• Instruct small core groups of students in math skills to drive long-term mastery and top ACT/SAT scores • Monitor student progress using Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum • Engage students in individualized growth and improvement opportunities • Reply to students in a timely manner • Maintain and update student lesson schedules on the online platform • Hold students accountable for assignments • Develop and creatively execute evolving lesson plans and curriculum • Mentor middle and high school students as they navigate college preparation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field from US Schools (Master’s or higher preferred; open to those near graduation) • 1+ years of teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a community college or college-level tutoring center • Academic history demonstrating high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA) • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites • Reliable internet connection and dedicated, quiet workspace • Robust understanding of classroom pedagogy • Ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans using practical, real-world examples • Engaging communication skills and ability to make complex math approachable • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Mastery of SAT and ACT Math, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics
