📋 Description

• Own the front end of the growth pipeline for the company’s healthcare payer/provider business • Identify where the company should expand into new market segments and capabilities • Prove the size and shape of opportunities and de-risk investment decisions before build • Run each opportunity through five stages: investigate, frame, size, build the business case, and validate • Run structured opportunity screens across prioritized innovation areas • Maintain a live, ranked pipeline with clearly defined kill/advance criteria • Build TAM/SAM/SOM models by segment using sourced and validated assumptions • Draft business requirements and investment cases for executive review • Design and run in-market validation with prospects, advisors, vendors, and other external stakeholders • Own competitive intelligence as a maintained, query-able system • Recommend build vs partner vs acquire with cost, speed, and risk trade-offs • Present board- and CEO-ready narratives • Hand off approved opportunities to another Solutions team member with a build-ready business case and specification • Stay engaged through the transition

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years healthcare payer/provider strategy, corp dev, or product strategy at a health plan, provider organization, healthcare tech/SaaS company, healthcare-focused consulting firm, or growth equity/PE fund with a healthcare vertical; direct VBC/risk adjustment/quality domain experience is required • Direct experience with risk-bearing provider organizations or health systems – either vendor-side (servicing them) or customer side (working inside one) • Track record of sizing new markets or capabilities and getting an investment approved, not just producing analysis • Fluent in HCC/RAF, HEDIS/Stars, ACO economics (MSSP/ACO REACH/LEAD), payer-provider data workflows • Comfortable operating with incomplete data under executive scrutiny • Comfortable engaging directly with external stakeholders to secure market signal, not just synthesizing data • Strong cross-functional collaborator, comfortable partnering across teams to move strategic work forward • PE-backed or high-growth SaaS experience strongly preferred • Forges strong partnerships to achieve shared goals, actively engaging with others and valuing diverse perspectives • Works cooperatively across teams, earning trust and support while sharing credit for successes • Leverages collaboration to strengthen professional relationships and deliver impactful results • Delivers clear, purposeful messages that ensure understanding and connection • Adapts communication style with emotional intelligence, demonstrating active listening, empathy, and confidence • Fosters open dialogue, encouraging collaboration and attentively valuing others' perspectives • Anticipates future trends and potential roadblocks, creating strategies to drive results • Thinks ahead, connects vision to action, and evaluates risks and rewards from all perspectives to make informed decisions • Generates unique, valuable ideas that drive organizational improvement and problem-solving • Fosters creative thinking within the team, introducing fresh perspectives and approaches • Translates innovative ideas into actionable solutions and encourages diverse thinking to nurture a culture of innovation • Makes timely, well-informed decisions that align with company needs, using critical thinking, analysis, and experience • Demonstrates sound judgment even with limited information, considering all relevant factors and applying appropriate decision-making criteria • Proactively seeks innovative solutions and analyzes information to make informed, well-balanced decisions • Evaluates both positive and negative aspects of a situation, considering all factors before acting • Demonstrates decisiveness while clearly communicating the rationale behind decisions
