• Implement, optimize, and maintain the organization’s information technology resources • Analyze and evaluate complex technical problems and multiple factors • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, design solutions, configure modules, and provide ongoing support • Support and advance Epic Willow Ambulatory and Epic Specialty Pharmacy workflows • Serve as a subject matter expert in ambulatory pharmacy and specialty workflows, including benefits investigation, prior authorization, financial assistance programs, and coordination across clinical, operational, and revenue cycle teams • Design, build, optimize, and support scalable workflows that improve access, reduce delays, and ensure compliance • Partner with pharmacy leadership, clinic stakeholders, and revenue cycle teams on strategic initiatives • Support expansion of specialty pharmacy services and implement solutions enhancing patient outcomes and financial performance • Mentor others and lead complex initiatives • Contribute to long-term roadmap planning • Lead teams and/or projects, coordinate work activities, report work status, and provide input on team performance • Develop team competencies and documentation materials • Ensure impact assessment documentation is complete • Troubleshoot application issues, submit vendor service requests, and follow complex correction steps • Act as primary IT liaison with key departments and/or committees • Research emerging technology and present findings to management • Prioritize work and advise end-users and oversight groups on system-change feasibility and effort • Participate in application special interest groups and workshops • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives • Perform other duties and participate in special projects supporting the mission of VCUHS
• Permanently reside in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or West Virginia • Associate’ degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience • At least one certification in Epic application • Five years of related experience; including three years of direct related IT application experience • Expert understanding of system development life cycle and application development experience • Expert understanding and broad application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in principal disciplines • Understands the workflow, primary objectives, and critical technology implementation issues of at least three primary business or clinical areas • Expert knowledge of application build, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools • High-level analysis, design, application build, training, and implementation planning skills • Understands major components of critical external systems and how they are interfaced • Knowledge of the interactions between various application subspecialties • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion • Maintain required Epic certification for appropriate role • Physical: Lifting less than 20 lbs. • Activities: Prolonged sitting, Repetitive motion • Mental/Sensory: Strong recall, Reasoning, Problem solving, Hearing, Speak clearly, Write legibly, Reading, Logical thinking • Emotional: Fast pace environment, Able to handle multiple priorities, Frequent and intense customer interactions, Able to adapt to frequent change
