📋 Description

• Oversee Veda’s global compliance framework • Design, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures covering AML/CFT, sanctions, data security, third-party diligence, and related areas • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments affecting decentralized finance • Ensure products and client integrations comply with financial and data protection laws, including GDPR or equivalent regional frameworks • Manage compliance due diligence for client and partner relationships • Act as primary compliance contact for regulators, auditors, and enterprise partners • Conduct ongoing monitoring and internal reviews • Lead internal investigations and ensure timely remediation of compliance issues • Maintain and report compliance metrics to the General Counsel and executive leadership • Coordinate responses to external audits, certifications, and regulatory examinations • Oversee and update compliance documentation, including AML policies, data retention, and information security standards • Support risk assessments and control testing • Partner with Product, Security, and Engineering teams on compliance and privacy-by-design principles • Develop and deliver targeted compliance training • Promote a proactive compliance culture

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of compliance or regulatory experience in fintech, financial services, or crypto • Knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, data protection laws, and financial regulatory frameworks relevant to crypto and DeFi • Experience managing compliance programs in regulated or partner-facing environments • Familiarity with decentralized finance and open-source ecosystems • Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment
