📋 Description

• Lead and support technical SEO audits across client websites • Analyze crawlability, indexation, canonicalization, redirects, robots directives, XML sitemaps, pagination, duplicate content, and site architecture • Identify technical issues using Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Semrush • Assess Core Web Vitals, page performance, rendering, JavaScript SEO, and mobile search considerations • Review structured data and provide schema implementation recommendations • Identify technical SEO risks associated with website redesigns, migrations, platform changes, and releases • Develop clear, prioritized recommendations based on SEO impact and implementation effort • Partner with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot issues and provide implementation guidance • Validate fixes following development releases and monitor for regressions • Support ongoing technical SEO monitoring and governance • Conduct targeted on-page optimization, including metadata, headings, internal linking, and content structure • Perform keyword and search intent research • Identify opportunities to improve information architecture and internal linking • Support content teams with SEO recommendations • Use Google Search Console and GA4 to investigate organic search performance • Analyze rankings, impressions, clicks, traffic, and landing-page performance • Connect technical SEO findings to measurable organic search outcomes • Support SEO reporting, analysis, and prioritization • Build and configure custom crawls, extractions, segments, and technical QA workflows • Document repeatable processes and contribute to scalable SEO delivery practices • Collaborate with SEO, Behavioral Analytics, CRO, Content, Strategy, UX, and Development teams • Translate technical SEO findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders • Participate in client meetings when technical SEO expertise is needed • Support integrated initiatives involving SEO, AEO/GEO, analytics, experimentation, content, and digital experience optimization

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with meaningful experience in technical SEO • Strong working knowledge of crawlability and indexation • Strong working knowledge of canonicalization and redirects • Strong working knowledge of XML sitemaps and robots.txt • Strong working knowledge of site architecture and internal linking • Strong working knowledge of Core Web Vitals and site performance • Strong working knowledge of structured data/schema • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript SEO and rendering considerations • Strong working knowledge of website migrations and redesigns • Advanced experience with Screaming Frog • Strong experience with Google Search Console • Experience with SEO platforms such as Ahrefs and/or Semrush • Working knowledge of GA4 and web analytics • Ability to independently investigate technical issues and determine likely root causes • Ability to clearly document findings, recommendations, priorities, and implementation requirements • Comfortable working across multiple clients and shifting priorities • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Frequent sitting at a desk performing work on a computer • Velir does not sponsor candidates and cannot accept those on OPT or CPT
