📋 Description

• Participates in project workflow and supports internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality. • Performs technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, specification of instrumentation, adherence to client and safety standards, and motor controls. • Performs PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming in accordance with functional specifications and in conjunction with senior engineering team members. • Creates customer documentation such as user manual, functional programming documents, and network diagrams. • Architects programs that are simple to test, well documented, and versatile. • Oversees and validates work by contractors during build, installation, and start-up of systems. • Validates construction of control system enclosures per design (Factory Acceptance Testing). • Tests and commissions custom products and systems onsite and at customer facilities (Site Acceptance Testing).

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering; or three+ years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • One (1) to three (3) years related job experience required. • Experience with any of the following is preferred: Allen Bradley Studio, RSLogix, Factory Talk View, Connected Components Workbench, Inductive Ignition, Aveva Wonderware, MS SQL and other database, and various scripting. • Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes is required which can be obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication to gain such knowledge. • Knowledge (Intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.), is required. • Fundamental knowledge of control and electrical system design and its application in automated industrial designs including power requirements, specification of VFD’s, instruments, various control system components, and networking components. • Knowledge of various industrial communication topologies and protocols such as Internet Protocol (IP) and Networking, Industrial Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet. • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time / workload. • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents. • Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to write presentations, articles, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence. • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and staff. • Ability to speak and communicate effectively before customers and staff. • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages. • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. • Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priority with end users. • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed. • Valid driver's license required.
