📋 Description

• Lead the design and evolution of Volio's user experience across mobile platforms • Design intuitive, low-sensory user flows that reduce cognitive load and sensory overwhelm • Apply cognitive accessibility and inclusive design principles throughout the product • Establish design guardrails for adaptive experiences and transparent AI touchpoints • Design the 2D Island Home progression experience using native UI components, Lottie animations, and vector-based layouts • Create feedback loops connecting student habits with visual progression and rewards • Design conversational interfaces for Volio's multi-agent AI system • Develop experiences for task extraction, emotional check-ins, calendar scheduling, and related workflows • Translate complex AI and backend functionality into clear user experiences • Design visual states for the Two-Phase Task Lifecycle: Draft, Confirmed, and Scheduled • Create design systems, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes in Figma • Develop designs for native iOS and Android implementation • Establish reusable UI components and scalable design standards • Provide design specifications and Lottie animation requirements for development • Collaborate with Product, AI Engineers, Developers, Operations, Marketing, and external partners • Participate in rapid design iterations and product refinement • Uphold Cascadience policies, confidentiality, inclusion, and multidisciplinary collaboration • Attend required meetings, complete training, and perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional product design experience, preferably with a focus on mobile applications for iOS and Android • Experience designing products involving complex data, AI-driven workflows, or similarly complex systems • Strong understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG • Demonstrated experience applying cognitive accessibility and inclusive design principles • Understanding of designing for neurodivergent users and low-stimulus environments • Portfolio demonstrating lightweight progression systems, reward mechanics, or similar engagement experiences • Ability to translate AI workflows, multi-agent systems, calendar logic, and contextual memory into simple, human-centered experiences • Advanced proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma • Experience with or understanding of Lottie animation specifications and vector-based design • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to independently drive projects and execute effectively without direct authority • Reliability, accountability, organization, and follow-through • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders • Commitment to mission-driven work supporting individuals with executive functioning challenges • Ability to uphold company policies, maintain confidentiality, protect proprietary information, and complete required training
