• Analyze log files from hosts, network traffic, security systems, IDS, EDR, and SIEM systems to identify security threats • Utilize incident handling methodologies and frameworks including VERIS, MITRE, NIST, and ISF • Coordinate technical support and guidance to enterprise-wide cybersecurity partners in resolving incidents and implementing best practices • Review escalated incidents with enterprise-wide cyber defense staff • Assess security controls for services, applications, and associated processes • Identify, capture, contain, report on, isolate, analyze, and remove malware • Analyze anomalous code as malicious or benign • Design countermeasures for identified security risks and threat actors • Collect, process, package, transport, and store electronic evidence while preserving its integrity • Review logs and analyze alerts, network traffic, reports, events, trends, tactics, and triggers to identify anomalous activity and potential threats • Conduct dynamic analysis to confirm intrusion details and discover new information • Create forensically sound duplicates of evidence for recovery and analysis • Provide technical and non-technical incident findings summaries • Perform event correlation to gain situational awareness and determine attack effectiveness • Monitor open-source websites and intelligence feeds for hostile content • Identify cyber threat tactics and methodologies and integrate them into threat hunting and threat reports • Prepare and present incident response briefings • Assist with development and documentation of data standards, policies, and procedures • Ensure managed security services, products, partners, and compensating controls reduce identified risk to an acceptable level • Collaborate with internal and external analysts and experts
• Bachelor’s degree required; MIS, IT, or Engineering related • Knowledge in one or more of: security operations, incident response, threat hunting, threat intelligence • Knowledge of scripting with PowerShell or Python • Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Power Automate • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English is required
