📋 Description

• Edit scripted recordings and rough cuts into engaging long-form videos for the vidIQ YouTube channel • Build motion graphics, diagrams and visual examples to explain hosts’ ideas • Choose the best takes and tighten rambling sections to maintain pacing • Add humor, memes, music, sound and B-roll where appropriate • Make creative decisions, suggest improvements and flag items needing host or producer input • Review edits, catch mistakes and ensure visuals support explanations before feedback • Deliver videos according to the publishing schedule, typically with a three-day turnaround • Try new tools and techniques, build reusable graphics and share workflow improvements • Collaborate with hosts and producers

🎯 Requirements

• Strong long-form editing portfolio, including motion graphics work • Strong skills in After Effects or a similar motion graphics tool • Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar • Ability to edit a 10–20-minute video in about three days • Organized project files, footage and assets, backed up for handoff • Enough overlap with US hours to work with the team • Ability to regularly overlap with US working hours • Experience with educational or explainer channels is a plus • Comfortable working with different hosts and taking feedback • Portfolio videos personally edited, with explanation of editing and motion-design decisions
