📋 Description

• Edit existing long-form Instagram videos into short-form content • Repurpose each long-form video into 1–4 short videos where appropriate • Create 2 short-form videos per week initially, with potential increase to 3 • Optimize content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or alternative short-form platforms • Improve engagement through strong hooks, clean cuts, captions, and trend-aligned pacing • Create book promotional posts, carousel posts, event or reading announcements, and book quotes or excerpts • Conceptualize and design a book promo-style advertisement • Align content with and collaboratively refine the client’s emerging brand style • Research libraries and schools in the Austin, Texas area • Build contact lists of school administrators, librarians, and program or event coordinators • Support email and influencer outreach using client-provided templates • Track outreach status and responses • Research vendor events, book fairs, and community events • Compile event cost, location, estimated foot traffic, date, and relevance • Help evaluate potential event ROI • Research and compare Amazon Seller Central and Amazon KDP • Summarize pros and cons to support the client’s publishing decision-making • Communicate via Slack or chat-based messaging and occasional calls

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience with short-form video editing • Understanding of social media trends and engagement strategies • Strong attention to detail and storytelling flow • Comfortable taking initiative while incorporating feedback • Organized and reliable in a low-hour, high-impact role • Experience supporting creators, authors, or small brands is a plus • Familiarity with CapCut, Canva Pro, and potentially Adobe tools • Ability to work a flexible schedule • Occasional availability for live calls around 8:00 AM CST • Portfolio and resume subject to review • Potential trial edit or task
