📋 Description

• Support the full monthly financial close cycle • Prepare and review journal entries • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts • Produce consolidated trial balances • Assist with intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries across Water.org and its subsidiaries • Perform weekly revenue reconciliations • Coordinate with the Revenue Operations team on variances • Manage bank matching and payment platform settlements across operating, money market, and investment accounts • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for key balance sheet accounts and consolidation entries • Respond to external audit requests • Contribute to quarterly Audit Committee materials • Contribute to process improvement and SOP development • Maintain the chart of accounts • Help strengthen internal controls

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and/or equivalent relevant work experience • Seven or more years of progressive accounting experience • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles • Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and financial close processes • Hands-on experience with intercompany transactions, consolidations, or multi-entity accounting environments • Strong understanding of financial and tax reporting requirements • Experience with accounting information systems and ERP systems • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications • Impeccable integrity and strong attention to detail • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively across departments and time zones • Proficiency in written and verbal English required
