📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive telehealth-appropriate medical evaluations, including focused histories and virtual examinations • Order and interpret diagnostics aligned with virtual urgent care capabilities • Manage acute, non-life-threatening urgent care conditions • Assess clinical red flags and determine the need for escalation or in-person evaluation • Develop and prioritize differential diagnoses for acute and episodic conditions • Collaborate with APCs and multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity and quality of care • Coordinate referrals to in-person care when complications require escalation • Create and implement evidence-based care plans for the virtual environment • Prescribe medications and diagnostics within state scope and telehealth guidelines • Modify treatment plans based on evolving symptoms or follow-up • Document telehealth encounters in EPIC, including assessment, plan, orders, and follow-up instructions • Maintain documentation standards supporting telehealth acuity capture, compliance, and quality • Communicate with patients and families regarding virtual visit expectations, treatment plans, and follow-up • Partner with APC colleagues, clinical leaders, and support staff across the Jefferson network • Participate in telehealth-specific and organizational training, education, and quality improvement initiatives • Maintain board certification, CME, and required licensure • Provide cosigning for APC documentation, orders, and prescriptions as required by state regulations and Jefferson policy • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• MD or DO • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine • Physicians must reside in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware • Must obtain and maintain active licensure in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware • Active Pennsylvania DEA required upon start • Experience in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, or Acute Care settings • Comfortable seeing patients of all ages • Prior telehealth experience preferred • Experience in high-acuity triage, virtual workflows, and remote clinical decision-making preferred
