• Conduct fundamental equity research to provide differentiated industry- and stock-specific content • Build and maintain financial forecasts and stock recommendations for institutional investor clients • Communicate research findings through consistent dialogue with internal stakeholders and institutional investor clients • Build relationships with Equity Research colleagues, Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and other teams • Demonstrate subject matter knowledge of the Internet sector and its companies • Analyze financial statements and industry, company, and market data • Create and update financial models and databases • Author differentiated research content with the Senior Analyst on companies and industry themes • Attend company and industry events and cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts • Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents • Collaborate with research peers on cross-sector research content • Exercise independent judgment and collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals • Follow Wells Fargo risk, compliance, governance, monitoring, escalation, and remediation requirements
• 7+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education • A BS/BA or higher (desired) • Direct experience within the Internet industry or equity research industry-specific sector • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels • Ability to work effectively and independently in a team environment • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high proficiency in modeling • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Strong writing skills and attention to detail • Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry • Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills • FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, and 87 examinations, or equivalent, must be completed within 90 or 180 days after employment if not immediately transferable • Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements • Additional product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply • Enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards • Successful completion of a background check prior to hire • Compliance with ongoing regulatory obligations, periodic screening, and mandatory reporting • Up to 10% travel
