📋 Description

• Translate patent-related content from English into Portuguese(Brazil), with original meaning conveyed in a manner that is readable and understandable to target audience. • Perform linguistic quality assessments (LQA) of translated content from English (en-US) to Portuguese (pt-BR). • Identify and correct linguistic errors, ensuring consistency in terminology, style, and adherence to client-specific guidelines. • Provide detailed feedback to translators and create comprehensive quality reports. • Ensure adherence to client-specific style guides, glossaries, and project guidelines. • Utilize CAT tools (JIRA, XTM) to review and assess translations efficiently. • Manage weekly capacity to handle +5,000 words per locale and ensure timely task completion.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/BA in linguistics, translation, biology, or related fields. • 2+ years of work experience in translation, linguistic quality assessment, copywriting, or copy-editing, specifically in patents or technical content. • Deep understanding of biological terminology and ability to adapt complex scientific language for target audiences. • Exceptional command of English (en-US) and Portuguese (pt-PT). • Proven experience in reviewing or translating patents or technical documents. • Proficiency in using CAT tools like JIRA and XTM for project management and quality assessment.
