📋 Description

• Create utility project estimates and act as an extension of the client’s team • Provide best-in-class service • Produce Conceptual New Transmission and Distribution Line Routes on a Google Earth KMZ file with pole placements • Create preliminary project schedules considering lead times, crews, construction durations, siting etc. • Write Scope of Work for conceptual/pre-funding approval projects • Create and review transmission/distribution lines • Review/Aide supplemental support estimates such as access roads, forestry, SCADA/IT network, Fiber, Real Estate, and related • Coordinate with other scoping and estimating team members, planning and protection engineering, sponsors, regional contacts and personnel from the supplemental support estimate staff • Attend regional meetings with planning, protection and other stakeholders to review the status of all open estimates • Review, approve, and/or reject estimate requests in OPPM • Build accurate project schedule timelines for transmission line and support estimates

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload while communicating efficiently and effectively with internal and external clients. • Solid understanding of engineering design / drawing packages. • High school or GED required • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical degree is advantageous. • 8+ years of either transmission line design or estimating experience within the electric utility industry is required. • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, specifically within Excel.
