• Resolve outstanding and unpaid insurance claims for hospital and/or physician accounts • Provide patient and third-party hospital and/or physician follow-up services to clients • Work as a member of the business office • Work in the Epic patient accounting system • Review account balances and denials and take steps to overturn denials • Identify adjustments and write-offs when appeals are denied or required by policy • Work independently on a wide variety of special projects within the business office • Handle a high volume of claims • Work with guarantors and third-party insurance departments
• Must have full understanding of insurance follow up processes, including billing, collections, credit balances, managed care, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims for hospital and/or physician claims • Ability to review account balances and denials and perform steps to overturn denials • Ability to identify adjustments and write-offs when an appeal is denied or as required by policy • Strong analytical skills • Ability to adhere to strict compliance and confidentiality guidelines related to HIPAA • Excellent telephone and communication skills • Ability to work a high volume of claims • Well-developed interpersonal skills to work with guarantors and various third-party insurance departments • Basic knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes • Ability to work independently and accomplish goals on a wide variety of special projects • Experience is a plus; work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn are emphasized • Applicants must be located in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Illinois, Michigan, or Alabama
