📋 Description

• As a Fuel Handling Equipment Field Service Technician, Level 2 you will help support our FHE Outage and Maintenance Services team. • You will provide support for nuclear fuel handling equipment or outage critical cranes. • You will conduct the field service support at remote operating nuclear power plants and at local service center operations. • You will use high technology service equipment in a manner reflecting Westinghouse's commitment to the highest levels of safety and quality. • You will report to the Fuel Handling Equipment Outage and Maintenance Supervisor. • Install, set-up, and maintain fuel handling/outage critical crane equipment at customer sites worldwide. • Review operational procedures, maintenance procedures, and drawings in detail. • Provide support to engineering and training by performing activities such as equipment modifications, equipment setup and testing, mock-up preparation, process testing, and equipment and process qualifications. • Document equipment performance issues during field implementation, and ensure corrective actions are complete before next scheduled use. • Participate in training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology and procedures. • Document all quality related issues. • Practice a "Safety First" attitude as an important part of all activities. • Demonstrate good housekeeping practices in work areas. • Maintain "Unescorted Access" status at nuclear power plant sites. • Develop, exercise and promote team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments. • Demonstrate good customer sensitivity. • Report to the service supervisor the status of field work progress, changes, problems, and mistakes on a daily or as need basis.

🎯 Requirements

• High school graduate or the recognized equivalent plus 2 year, post high school degree/certificate or equivalent in experience. • Specific knowledge and training in electrical, electronic, programmable logic controller, or mechanical components. • 2 or more years of experience where satisfactorily demonstrated evidence of mechanical, electrical and programmable logic controller knowledge and skill. • Nuclear industry experience is beneficial. • This position is subject to the requirements of Westinghouse and customer security, unescorted access, and fitness for responsibility programs. • Requires the ability to occasionally carry/lift up to 50 pounds. • Individual must have full range of motion i.e. ability to reach, climb, kneel, squat, grasp, bend forwards and backwards, sit, and stand for 4 hours per day.
