📋 Description

• Review all UL 9540a reports from cell-, module-, and up through unit/installation-level, and provide direction. • Offer guidance toward the fire safety system designs of BESS manufacturers and projects. • Initiate and foster relationships with national, state, and local fire institutions and first responders, including Fire Marshalls, Fire Departments, and educational institutions. • Standardize information around BESS fire safety systems throughout the organization, ensuring messaging in every region in which our projects are deployed. • Participate in task groups and technical committees for collaboration and direction of the advancement of industry codes and standards about the safety of battery energy storage systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Background in fire protection engineering principles, fire dynamics, and battery technology safety. • Experience with NFPA 855 (Energy Storage Systems), IFC, and UL standards. • Software Skills: Experience with FMEA, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling, and risk assessment methodologies
