📋 Description

• Lead category and operational management for assigned commodities • Improve total cost, quality, delivery, and reliability to reach organizational goals • Serve as the primary relationship owner for suppliers within assigned commodities • Segment assigned spend into sub-commodity groups to create operational excellence levers • Develop commodity strategies to improve Total Cost of Ownership and secure supply continuity • Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities in commodity strategy • Execute commodity strategy through preferred supplier list right-sizing, supplier awards, and Long Term Agreements • Drive year-over-year improvements in cost, delivery, quality, service, and profitability • Review Power BI and other tool analyses to identify commodity and spend/cost projection drivers • Conduct regular supplier relationship management business reviews with strategic suppliers, teams, and senior leadership • Create presentations for supplier relationship reviews, commodity strategies, risk mitigation proposals, 4-Blockers, and supplier/commodity gap analyses • Create plans to deliver annual results against payment terms, on-time delivery, productivity, inflation, and other procurement metrics • Research, track, and communicate industry trends, best practices, applicable indices, and competitive offerings • Develop working relationships with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • 5+ years of procurement experience • Experience preferably within complex engineering, procurement, and construction project industries, with a focus on procurement • 3+ years of experience in negotiations, including Request For Information, Request For Proposal, Request For Quotation and contract development • Experience with vendor management, including purchase order issuance, execution, and administration • Experience with a Project ERP system such as SAP or Ariba, or similar system in a global company
