📋 Description

• Ensures the successful execution of annual construction improvement projects (capital expenditures) from concept to completion. • Overseeing, managing, and planning complex projects including evaluating and making recommendations for value adding enhancements. • Monitor project progress, set and adhere to deadlines. • Represent Westport Properties to current and future partners, investors, and vendors. • Day-to-day scheduling of vendors, getting construction project proposals, writing contracts, expense budget management. • Site improvement strategies through the direct supervision of Director of Facility Services for all new and existing properties. • Develop and maintain a pipeline of vendors and general contractors in different states/regions. • Manage vendor administration, onboarding, compliance, scheduling, document management and project close-out. • Aid in the preparation of yearly facility capital improvement budgets. • Manage and coordinate due diligence process for new and acquisition properties. • Report on property conditions and provide timely insight on a propertys physical and operational conditions. • Ensure consistent implementation of Westport Properties operating standards/policy and procedures. • Conduct risk assessments; report identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk. • Maintain a high level of communication and follow-up with all levels of the organization. • Provide emergency response as may be needed. • Utilize company construction management platform for planning and organizing initiatives and projects. • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement of systems, processes, methodologies, and training to improve efficiencies and personnel. • Serve as a contact for third party owners and asset managers for joint venture partners.

🎯 Requirements

• Valid drivers license • Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed performance standards • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Able to prioritize multiple projects and deal with numerous interruptions • Work well under pressure, meeting deadlines consistently • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Must be able to perform some of the physical requirements of the job • Ability to travel to different states to oversee projects and meet/look for vendors. • Ability and willingness to work remotely and in new environments • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, and Excel • Highly organized and able to track progress on multiple concurrent projects • Ability to understand and follow Company policies, and stay current with relevant industry standards.
