📋 Description

• Conduct chapter compliance audits • Communicate audit findings and recommend corrective actions • Summarize audit findings and recommend courses of action • Provide feedback and follow-up with chapters regarding audit findings and other compliance matters • Develop and maintain relationships by serving as a trusted compliance partner • Support enterprise risk management efforts • Perform other department tasks, projects, and reports as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Make-A-Wish does not sponsor employment visas or other immigration processes to attain or maintain employment eligibility. • Minimum 5 years of work experience • Experience in nonprofit compliance and/or audit field preferred • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications • Database data entry and reporting required • Ability to thrive in a remote environment • Ability to work professionally with employees, chapters, and all levels of staff, including executive leadership • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously • Excellent attention to detail • Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking capabilities • Sound judgment and discretion in handling highly confidential and sensitive information • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly • Ability to travel approximately 20% for internal meetings and chapter visits • May require work outside a traditional Monday–Friday work week and outside normal business hours
