📋 Description

• Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders • Create and update individualized treatment plans • Meet with patients regularly to provide services, treatment, and plan adjustments • Coordinate and arrange services for individual clients • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress • Conduct group therapy sessions according to the program schedule • Involve and advise family members when appropriate • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress • Follow safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality • Communicate with outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care • Attend weekly staff meetings to consult on individual cases • Attend weekly treatment team meetings to consult about individual client progress • Create weekly individualized therapeutic and experiential opportunities and communicate them to patients • Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for individual clients • Engage in advocacy work for mental health parity • Participate in community-based speaking opportunities to increase eating disorder awareness • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Active and unrestricted licensure as Psychologist, PhD or PsyD (PSYPACT Psychologist) • Fully licensed therapist able to practice independently in the state(s) licensed • Minimum of 1 year of experience treating patients with eating disorders and disordered eating • Empathic, genuine, self-aware, and competent • Initiative, sound judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and time management skills • Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), experiential therapies, family therapy, mindfulness, and/or other modalities is desirable • Understanding of and sensitivity toward cultural diversity issues • Must not be opted out of Medicare • Reliable internet connection • Comfortable operating a computer and smartphone and navigating macOS and iOS applications • Comfortable communicating via chat, telephone, and video calls • Able to sit for the majority of the shift • Able to work from a private, quiet home workspace with minimal background noise
