📋 Description

• Communicate with customers to monitor inventories, anticipate production needs, and schedule equipment for waste by-product movement. • Arrange and negotiate third-party freight costs using WM-approved carriers. • Monitor and maintain shipment status through computer systems. • Respond to customer complaints and investigate and resolve shipment issues for vendors and customers. • Coordinate deliveries, shipment-delay notifications, and proof-of-delivery traces with customers, carriers, and railroads. • Review pricing with Sales and Marketing. • Build relationships with vendors, customers, and outside freight carriers. • Prepare all shipment documentation, including export documentation for overseas mills. • Coordinate invoicing, vendor payments, freight and special charges, and related debits and credits. • Resolve waste-material downgrades and rejects by negotiating pricing and processing cost information. • Coordinate services with supervisors and managers and communicate issues. • Provide customer order-status and product-knowledge information. • Meet or exceed call-center productivity, quality, service, and timeliness goals. • Collaborate with sales representatives to develop solutions for smooth material movement. • Attend periodic meetings and provide feedback to the direct supervisor. • Perform special projects and assigned tasks. • Provide direction or support to less experienced Customer Service Representatives.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) • Two years of relevant work experience in a customer service role and exporting material • Experience with Microsoft Office • Basic Excel skills required • Work experience requiring computer use • Must live and work in the US • No certificates, licenses, or registrations required
