• Provide physician leadership, medical consultation, clinical oversight, and subject matter expertise across WorkCare services • Perform, support, or oversee clinical evaluations, medical reviews, consultations, and physician services through virtual, telephonic, onsite, or other approved delivery models • Serve as a medical escalation resource for complex, unusual, urgent, or high-risk clinical matters • Develop, review, approve, interpret, and support clinical protocols, policies, standing orders, workflows, documentation standards, and escalation pathways • Participate in quality assurance, peer review, case review, audits, incident review, corrective action, and continuous improvement activities • Support compliance with federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, client requirements, and WorkCare policies • Promote appropriate clinical documentation, confidentiality, privacy, ethical practice, and risk management • Collaborate with clinical, operational, business, and medical leadership teams, clients, and external stakeholders • Provide medical input for program design, implementation, evaluation, enhancement, and resolution of clinical or operational concerns • Coordinate or consult with treating providers, specialists, healthcare organizations, and other authorized parties • Support client education, staff development, clinical training, proposals, presentations, and strategic initiatives • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation, reports, communications, and records • Maintain required licenses, certifications, credentials, continuing education, and professional competency • Help ensure appropriate physician coverage, continuity, and handoff of assigned responsibilities • Perform other physician, leadership, administrative, or program responsibilities within qualifications and scope of practice
• Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from a U.S. accredited institution • Valid medical license(s) per state • DEA registration • State-controlled substance certification if indicated • Minimum 5–7 years of occupational medicine experience • Current BLS certification • Medical malpractice insurability • Strong clinical judgment in occupational care settings • Regulatory and compliance expertise • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple, competing deadlines • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences • Strong time management, organizational, and follow-through skills • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals • Competence in Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) • At-home setup must meet all Company IT, privacy, and safety requirements
