📋 Description

• Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of cybersecurity compliance initiatives aligned to SOC 2, ISO 27001, and regulatory standards • Formulate and update compliance documentation, including cybersecurity policies, operational procedures, and audit-ready control evidence • Isolate and track security risks and collaborate with engineering teams to close technical gaps and implement remediation plans • Coordinate cross-functional project tasks, documentation baselines, client tracking matrices, and delivery timelines under senior engineering guidance • Engage directly with client contacts to collect evidence, clarify control requirements, and provide status updates • Perform routine control testing and readiness reviews • Partner with IT, engineering, and operations teams to implement corrective configurations and strengthen security posture • Improve operational playbooks, compliance templates, and delivery velocity through mentorship • Support multiple cybersecurity compliance projects and client engagements

🎯 Requirements

• Strong background in cybersecurity compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to manage multiple cybersecurity compliance projects simultaneously • Experience overseeing or managing a small team • Experience supporting or implementing core cybersecurity frameworks • Familiarity with engineering, maintaining, and reviewing corporate security policies • Prior experience in information security-focused technology environments • Ability to work in fast-growth startup environments and manage shifting priorities • Reliable, high-speed internet connection • Professional home office suitable for confidential conversations and uninterrupted collaboration • Availability for a standard schedule of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM US Eastern Time, with occasional flexibility • Willingness and ability to travel locally for occasional onsite meetings or business activities • Participation in live video interviews with camera on and identity verification • Successful identity verification and background screening, where permitted by law • Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship • Familiarity with compliance automation and continuous control monitoring platforms such as Vanta • Supplemental knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS • Progress toward or possession of certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISA, or CompTIA Security+
