📋 Description

• Perform pre-award duties in response to proposal guidelines and terms and conditions • Work with faculty in proposal preparation and submission • Manage proposal budgets, analyses, and justifications • Gather information for protocols and non-technical proposal components • Liaise between the Chair, Faculty, and Department Administrators • Monitor federal and university developments regarding research administration and complex regulations • Coordinate grant submissions, prepare budgets, and obtain pricing quotes • Compile data and ensure regulatory compliance • Compile and submit grants with Principal Investigators • Prepare and review agency submission forms • Enter grant budgeting documents online • Obtain PI and institutional signatures • Initiate subaward setup through the SUBS system and upload pre-award documents • Coordinate with Post-award and OSRS on contracts and subcontracts • Provide internal notices of award to SPA and PIs, including special terms and committed effort • Monitor annual agency reports, including RPPRs • Collaborate with Post-Award on revised budgets • Coordinate transfer of PI grants and contracts into Wash U • Coordinate responses to grant-related information requests • Track grants submitted, awarded, and rejected in an online database • Close sponsored projects accounts and submit final reports • Manage sponsored project budgets, expenditures, and fund reconciliation • Approve purchasing documents and guide purchasing staff on grant expenditures • Troubleshoot fund profile setups and financial reports • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to PIs and senior leadership • Assist with reconciliation, spending monitoring, overdrafts, and cost-sharing commitments • Assist senior leadership with special projects and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education • 2 years of relevant experience • Knowledge of RMS (Research Management System) and SUBS • Knowledge of agency guidelines • Accounting • Adobe Acrobat • Computerized Accounting • Computer Literacy • Grant Administration • IBM Cognos Analytics • Microsoft Excel • Microsoft Office • Microsoft OneNote • Microsoft Teams • Microsoft Word • Workday Software • A driver's license is not required • No specific certification/professional license is required
